Following an early career in arts and broadcasting management at Nottingham Playhouse and the BBC, Tim joined the advancement team at the University of Nottingham shaping its individual, alumni and legacy giving strategies for the University’s first major philanthropy campaign.

Having graduated from Trent Polytechnic with an economics degree, the lure of returning to Nottingham Trent University, with a brief to set up its alumni relations and philanthropy programmes, was a gilt-edged opportunity for Tim.  Over the course of the next two decades NTU became a sector-leader in building and sustaining powerful relationships with its alumni and friends receiving the Times Education Management and Leadership Award for University Fundraising Team of the Year 2009.

The knowledge, skills and experience Tim has built through his career in university advancement is exceptional. His understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by institutions whose commitment to practical and vocational education are the bedrock in their roots, history and evolution is unparalleled. He is extremely well-placed to help organisations plan, and execute, their own successful advancement programmes.
